Jeanine Baisi

Do you like what you’re hearing? Well, you can catch Jeanine Baisi’s wicked beats every Wednesday at 8 p.m. (EST) on www.phillynitesradio.com

Thousands of “Proud” people made their way to the 2013 Stonewall Summer Pride on June 22 and 23. The party kicked off with a Twilight Parade and didn’t stop until the next day at the Sunday Night Festival and Concert. It was amazing! DJ Pat Pat was spinning at the New Moon Tent. The most talented drag queens were representing big time. Kristine W. killed it on the main stage. It was non-stop fun. Check out our event pix to see the antics that we got into.

I hope you’re enjoying Pride Month as much as we are!

Grand Opening of FLIRT @ Eros

The grand opening of the highly anticipated weekly Girl Party at Eros was hot - not only because the air conditioner was broken, but also because it was packed to the rafters with fine women and the music had us jumping.

The hostess-with-the-mostess hottie Orchid Garcia and diva extraordinaire Lynn Bove have so much planned for the upcoming Flirt parties. For instance, future Saturdays will feature appearances by Karina Iglesias from NBC’s “The Voice,” Citizen Jane, and DJ Theresa. Check our calendar for those upcoming dates.

The dancers weren’t the same ones we see everywhere, which was certainly a treat. I can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store for us at this weekly, must-go party.

Check out the event pix and judge for yourself why you should not miss Saturdays at Flirt (Eros on Biscayne Blvd.)

Miami Day of Decision Rally

Where were you the day the Supreme Court ruled on marriage equality?

BOUND celebrated the historic day at the Miami Day of Decision Rally at the LGBT Visitor Center in South Beach. And, the intensity was too much for words to explain.

“We are all so happy for our brothers and sisters that made that step to marry and now it’s more than just a piece of paper framed on a wall,” said a rally attendee.

Every hair on my body was on end just hearing the speeches and seeing the outright support that everyone had for our community. From politicians to our straight allies, they were standing with us and for us.

Check out the pictures from the event and know that this is just the beginning, because we’re not letting up until there is marriage equality across the 50 states.

Aqua Girl 2013

Probably the most fun lesbians can have in Miami without getting arrested. I say that with so much conviction that I doubt many would disagree. With 16 events there was fun to be had by all. People came from all over the country and were not disappointed by the music, the venues and the fun. Mother Nature was on our side and didn’t let us down once.

The kick-off at the VIP Cocktail Reception was studded but not pretentious. I was a little worried since it was in Fort Lauderdale. That quickly changed. The house was beautiful and the hosts were as gracious as they come.

Now for us regular folk, Aqua truly kicked off on May 15 with AquaRock @ Churchills’s Pub. Indie, underground and funk music were the focus. The laid back vibe made it extra inviting and a great way to start the party weekend.

Traffic Jam @ Dream on SoBe was the place to get your dance on FOR SURE on Thursday. Citizen Jane tore it up. There was not one non-sweaty girl in the house. The color coded necklaces led you to the girls to run to and run from instantly. I hadn’t been at that venue since it was Shadow Lounge and I LOVED IT!!! Good Times.

Grand Central on Friday night was off the hook. The party was called Temptation and with good reason. The dancers were beautiful and Frenchie Davis’ performance was way more entertaining than expected. That woman has some pipes and the fact that she’s family made it 10 times better.

Aqua Girl’s pool parties are legend … wait for it …dary. We love the nightlife, but always look forward to the pool parties. This year we had 3: Friday was a nice intro and Saturday’s had everyone partying, but Sunday’s Tea Dance & Pool Party was icing on the most fabulous cake ever! Anytime you get both DJ Pride and Tracey Young on one stage, you know you are in for a blast. The National Hotel was a different back drop than used to but the staff was on point. The girls turned out in droves making for lots of eye candy.

aturday night was on Fire - Fuego, that is at Nikki Beach. Damn the parking was expensive, but that’s to be expected. DJ Tatiana wrecked the one and twos and whoever the percussionist is deserves the biggest full frontal hug ever! Loved her! You had to throw the women out when the party was over. No one wanted to leave and with GOOD reason. The music was so good that I only witnessed one lesbian drama fight the whole night. That’s a good party indication.

After Sunday’s Tea Dance & Pool Party I needed 3 naps, but I still went to Score for AfterGlow. I had to! DJ Pat Pat never fails to give you that “RedBull” kick. I forgot I had partied for the last 4 days once I heard her beats. The sound system sounded great and everyone was in an amorous mood. Goodbye to all our friends visiting and see you guys next year. Fourteen years of AquaGrl and still kicking ass! Muah!

Miami Beach Pride 2013

Miami Beach Pride 2013Miami Beach Pride 2013 was an amazing sight. Imagine 80,000 people in your backyard celebrating their love. The event was a success thanks to the support and dedication of so many sponsors and volunteers that made the 5th annual event a success – and Boundmag.com didn’t miss a single beat, from block parties to pool parties, we were there (and the reason why we are all still sunburned and exhausted). Adam Lambert as the headliner for Sunday night was close to amazing. We loved him on Idol, and when we found out he was family it made us love him even more. Thank you Danny Hilton for being the appetizer – he bought it, cute, sexy, British and very talented. Danny Hilton you did us good. Thank you. Other incredible performers over the weekend included the stupid good DJ Theresa and Lady Bunny, as well as Crystal Waters and Lady M. Azucar Nightclub held its first ever high-heel race from 9th Street to 12th Street before the start of the parade - which, by the way, brought a record 173 floats down Ocean Drive all under the blessing of this year’s Grand Marshall Mayor Matti Bower.

If you can’t remember all the fun you had, check out the Miami Beach Gay Pride album under Event Pix.
